Welcome to labailey. We respect your privacy and are committed to protecting your personal data. This privacy policy will inform you about how we look after your personal data when you visit our website and tell you about your privacy rights.

2. The Data We Collect

We may collect, use, store and transfer different kinds of personal data about you which we have grouped together as follows:

• Identity Data includes first name, last name, and email.
• Contact Data includes billing address, delivery address, email address and telephone numbers.
• Financial Data includes payment card details (processed securely by Stripe; we do not store your card details).
• Transaction Data includes details about payments to and from you and other details of products you have purchased from us.

3. How We Use Your Data

We will only use your personal data when the law allows us to. Most commonly, we will use your personal data in the following circumstances:

• Where we need to perform the contract we are about to enter into or have entered into with you (e.g., fulfilling an order).
• Where it is necessary for our legitimate interests (or those of a third party) and your interests and fundamental rights do not override those interests.
• Where we need to comply with a legal obligation.

4. Third-Party Services

We use third-party services to operate our website and fulfill orders. Specifically, we use Stripe for secure payment processing, Supabase for database and account storage, and Resend for transactional email (order confirmations, shipping updates, and replies to enquiries). These providers have their own privacy policies governing the data they process on our behalf.

5. Cookies

Our website uses a minimal set of cookies and similar local storage technologies needed for the site to function, including:

• Session/authentication cookies (set by Supabase) to keep you logged in to your account or the admin area.
• Shopping cart data, stored in your browser's local storage rather than a cookie, so your basket is remembered between visits.
• Payment session cookies set by Stripe during checkout to securely process your payment.

We do not currently use third-party advertising or analytics cookies. You can disable cookies in your browser settings, though parts of the site (such as checkout) may not function correctly without them.

6. Data Security

We have put in place appropriate security measures to prevent your personal data from being accidentally lost, used, or accessed in an unauthorized way, altered, or disclosed. Payment details are handled entirely by Stripe and are never stored on our own servers.

7. Data Retention

We keep order records (including order items, totals, and delivery address) for as long as necessary to comply with our legal and tax obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements — typically for up to 6 years after the order date, in line with UK record-keeping requirements. Enquiry and custom request messages are retained only as long as needed to respond to and resolve them, after which they may be deleted periodically. You can ask us to erase your data sooner as described in Section 8 below, subject to any legal obligation we have to keep it.

Under certain circumstances, you have rights under data protection laws in relation to your personal data, including the right to:

• Request access to your personal data.
